The AEON Design Process
We guide you through documenting your outdoor space — or for SoCal clients, arrange an in-person visit to capture precise measurements and photos.
Our designers create a full photoreal 3D model of your property and design your new outdoor space down to the last material, light, and water feature.
We revise until the design is exactly right, then produce detailed construction documents: dimensions, materials, lighting, planting schedules, and elevations.
You own the plans. Build with our vetted contractor network (SoCal) or bring your own. Your documents are contractor-ready anywhere.
We work remotely with clients across the US and Canada. Our team guides you through a simple property documentation process — photos, measurements, and a video walkthrough from your phone. For larger projects or Southern California clients, we can arrange a site visit.
Every AEON project is led by a dedicated design director. Depending on scope, your team may include a 3D visualization artist, landscape specialist, lighting designer, and project coordinator. You'll have one point of contact throughout.
AEON is a pure design studio — we have no financial stake in who builds your project. Your construction package is written to be bid by multiple contractors. We can help you read and compare bids so you can make a fully informed decision.

Our design clients typically have construction budgets between $50,000 and $1,000,000+. The design fee is a small fraction of construction cost, and the plans we deliver reliably reduce change orders and overruns — clients consistently spend less on construction when they design first.
An exterior designer creates the complete vision for your outdoor space — layout, materials, planting, lighting, water features, and all built elements — and produces the documents a contractor needs to build it. Unlike an architect, we specialize exclusively in outdoor living. Unlike a contractor, we have no interest in the build.
